On April 27, 2025, envoys from China, Kenya, South Africa, Belarus, Venezuela, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, Kazakhstan and Romania stationed in Vienna visited the office of ASIASIM Secretariat (Hangzhou). Professor Zhang Lin, President of the Federation, and Professor Weng Jingnong, Secretary-General, warmly received the guest envoys and gave a detailed introduction to ASIASIM’s development history, organizational structure, operation, main achievements and important position and role in participating in global science and technology governance.

The delegation watched the official promotional video of the federation, This is ASIASIM, at the office of the federation secretariat, and gained an in-depth understanding of the various development goals and tasks of the federation after its establishment. They praised the federation’s efforts in promoting and leading collaborative innovation, standard setting, talent training and international cooperation in simulation technology and related fields in Asia and the world. The leaders of the federation presented the badge of ASIASIM to the members of the delegation and took a group photo.

Afterwards, Secretary-General Weng Jingnong, Academician Sun Gongling of the International Academy of Astronautics, and relevant leaders, together with the diplomatic envoys, visited the Alibaba Cloud Valley Park, Lingban Technology, and the exhibition hall of the six little dragons in Hangzhou in the Future Science and Technology City.

Alibaba Cloud Cloud Valley Park is located in Yuhang District, Hangzhou. In the exhibition hall, the diplomatic envoys gained an in-depth understanding of the development history of Alibaba Cloud Computing and its application scenarios in various industries, especially the industries of the future. They experienced the various technological innovations brought about by cloud computing services on site and felt its extensive integration in education, medical care and industry.

At Lingban Technology,the delegation collectively experienced the latest AR/VR hardware products. Wearing “translation” glasses, the delegation communicated in the language of their respective countries. Virtual reality technology helped make real-time translation and cross-cultural communication barrier-free.

Finally, the delegation went to Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City to learn about the scientific and technological development achievements of Yuhang District and the innovative results of the Six Little Dragons technology companies, and further feel the profound vitality of Hangzhou in scientific and technological innovation, technology transformation, and industrial development.
