ASIASIM was jointly initiated by the China Simulation Federation, the Japan Society for Simulation Technology, the Korea Society for Simulation, the Society of Simulation and Gaming of Singapore, and the Malaysian Simulation Society. After eight years of application, with the strong support of the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, it was registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs as an international, non-profit international academic organization with independent legal personality.The establishment of ASIASIM marks the birth of a new pattern in which it is listed as one of the world’s three major international scientific and technological organizations in simulation, along with the Society for Modeling & Simulation International and the Federation of European Simulation Societies. It is of great significance to promote the advancement of global simulation technology.

Zili Wang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of the Chinese Simulation Society, Delivered a Speech
In his speech, Zili Wang highlighted the crucial role of simulation technology in driving scientific and technological innovation, as well as in advancing industrial upgrades. He noted its significant contribution to facilitating social change. Wang also stated that the China Simulation Federation will steadfastly support the federation’s construction and development while promoting the healthy growth of the simulation industry ecosystem. He urged experts, scholars, research institutions, and enterprises in the global simulation field to collaborate in advancing simulation technology and progressing the industry.
Lehmann, Former Chairman of the Society for Modeling & Simulation International, Delivered a speech
In his speech, Lehmann warmly congratulated the establishment of the Asia Simulation Federation and provided an overview of its origin and development. He emphasized that the creation of the federation signifies a deepening of cooperation among simulation societies, experts, and enterprises across Asian countries, as well as an enhancement of interaction within the global simulation field. Lehmann expressed his hope that the federation would promote international technology sharing and innovative collaboration, contributing to global scientific and technological advancement and driving social change.
Satoshi Tanaka, Former President of the Japan Society for Simulation Technology, Delivered a Speech
Professor Kaku Tanaka extended his heartfelt congratulations on the establishment of the Asia Simulation Federation. He emphasized that the federation is not only essential for the simulation field in Asia but will also play a crucial role in advancing global scientific and technological innovation, as well as facilitating academic exchanges and collaborations. He noted that the creation of the federation is the result of the collective efforts of scholars from various countries. In the future, he will continue to support and engage in the federation's development to promote the advancement and collaboration of simulation technology on a global scale.
Dean, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Delivered a Speech
Dean warmly congratulated the establishment of the Asia Simulation Federation, emphasizing that it marks the beginning of a new era in simulation science innovation and international collaboration. He noted that the Federation is dedicated to promoting the innovative application of advanced simulation technologies to address the various challenges facing the world today. Dean hopes that through international cooperation and collective efforts, the Federation will foster technological innovation and enhance the accumulation of scientific knowledge, ultimately contributing to global sustainable development.
Lin Zhang, President of the Asia Simulation Federation, Delivered a Speech
In his speech, Zhang Lin emphasized that simulation technology is a fundamental, strategic, and forward-looking key technology. It plays an irreplaceable role in enhancing our understanding of the world, reducing the costs associated with error correction and trial-and-error processes, and improving the scientific basis for major decision-making. He mentioned that Beihang University's Hangzhou International Campus offers the federation a beautiful environment, excellent facilities, and abundant resources. The federation plans to engage in extensive exchanges with countries and regions worldwide to collaboratively create a multilateral and mutually beneficial simulation development ecosystem.
Zhao Weisheng, the Vice Principal of Beihang University, discussed the university's achievements and contributions in the field of simulation technology research. He highlighted that Beihang University, as a supporting unit of the federation, has established an international simulation technology innovation platform at the Hangzhou International Campus. This platform aims to enhance scientific research cooperation and technological development in simulation technology across Asia and globally, while also promoting the coordinated advancement of cutting-edge technologies and the establishment of an industrial ecosystem. Looking ahead, Zhao outlined several priorities: First, it is essential to fully leverage the federation platform's effectiveness and strengthen international exchanges and cooperation. Second, there should be a concerted effort to integrate industry and education, coordinate educational approaches, and promote the high-level integrated development of education and scientific and technological talent. Third, a focus on cultivating international talent is crucial to enhancing their global perspective. Academician Li Bohu, the primary initiator of the Asia Simulation Federation and honorary chairman of the China System Simulation Society, as well as Chairman of the European Simulation Federation and President-elect of the International Society for Modeling and Simulation, sent his congratulations via video message.
Several international scientific and technological organizations have sent representatives or congratulatory letters to celebrate the establishment of the Asia Simulation Federation. These organizations include the World Association of Young Scientists, the International Society of Mechanical System Dynamics, the International Coalition of Intelligent Manufacturing, the World Federation of Invention and Innovation (currently being prepared), the International Association for Green Aviation (currently being prepared), the BRICS Engineering Organizations Federation (currently being prepared), and the International Society for Intelligent Sensing.

Asia Simulation Federation Was Officially Established
Zhang Lin, the inaugural president of the Asia Simulation Federation; Lehmann, the representative of the Federation of European Simulation Societies; Jingnong Weng, the founding secretary-general of the Asia Simulation Federation; and Xuezhuan Yan, the Chief Technology Director for Greater China at Dassault Systèmes, a global leader in simulation technology, signed strategic partnership agreements.

The 1st International Symposium on Frontier Simulation Technologies
Following the launching ceremony, the 1st International Symposium on Frontier Simulation Technologies took place with the theme “Simulation Lights the Future”. Keynote speeches were delivered by Wang Jian, Dean, Satoshi Tanaka, and Lehmann, who addressed the latest developments in frontier simulation technology.

The roundtable discussion was hosted by Liang Li, the director of the Asia Simulation Federation and a professor at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. The panel included Professor Wu Jianping, the executive director of the China Simulation Federation and a professor at Tsinghua University; Professor Zhang Bingyun, the president of the Korean Society for Simulation; Professor Chen Shunfa, the president of the Society of Simulation and Gaming in Singapore; Professor Zaharuddin Mohamed, the president of the Malaysian Simulation Society; Professor Fleck Hardaker, the director of the Australian Simulation Society; Yan Xuezhuan, the chief technology director for Greater China at Dassault Systèmes; and Peter Landman, the chief business development officer at Dixin China Technology Co., Ltd.
Roundtable Discussion
During the meeting, the inaugural member meeting of the Asia Simulation Federation and the first meeting of its board of directors were held simultaneously. The member meeting successfully approved the charter of the Asia Simulation Federation and elected the first board of directors. Professor Zhang Lin was elected as the president, Professor Weng Jingnong as the secretary-general, and Professors Satoshi Tanaka, Shunfa Chen, and Zaharuddin Mohamed as vice presidents.
Promoting International Scientific and Technological Cooperation in Simulation Technology
Simulation technology serves as a bridge between the digital and physical worlds, making it a crucial method for humans to understand and transform their environment. It is extensively utilized in various advanced scientific and technological fields, including aerospace, intelligent manufacturing, and healthcare. Beihang University has made significant achievements in research, technology development, and academic exchanges in the field of simulation. As a supporting unit of the China Simulation Federation and a key player in the Digital Simulation Standard Working Group of the National Standardization Committee for the Integration of Industrialization and Information Technology, Beihang University is at the forefront of simulation technology. To further enhance international cooperation in simulation technology, Beihang University has recently taken the lead in co-initiating the establishment of ASIASIM. This collaboration includes partnerships with the China Simulation Federation, the Japan Society for Simulation Technology, the Korea Society for Simulation, the Society of Simulation and Gaming in Singapore, and the Malaysian Simulation Society. Beihang University actively participates in developing the international modeling and simulation knowledge system, with ASIASIM based at its Hangzhou International Campus. The Federation is committed to principles of openness, innovation, collaboration, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit. It seeks to explore new development models for international organizations and plays a vital role in integrating education, teaching, scientific research, and technology. Through high-level international conferences, the establishment of esteemed international journals, simulation technology talent training, international standard formulation, and the creation of a high-quality academic exchange platform for simulation, ASIASIM actively contributes to global governance in science and technology, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in simulation technology
