On July 3, Mr. Zhang Heng, Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, led a delegation to visit the Asia Simulation Federation (ASIASIM) at Beihang University's Hangzhou International Innovation Institute (H3I). Accompanied by the Vice President of H3I Mr. Du Pengcheng, the visiting delegation was warmly welcomed by ASIASIM President Mr. Zhang Lin and Secretary-General Mr. Weng Jingnong.

During the visit, Secretary-General Mr. Weng Jingnong elaborated on the pivotal role of simulation science in fields such as aerospace and intelligent manufacturing. He also presented the origin and history, core missions, development vision, and brand activities of ASIASIM. He noted that:

“The establishment of ASIASIM has benefitted greatly from the support of key institutions like the Science and Technology Association. Moving forward, we aim to serve as a platform for global scientific exchange in simulation and related fields, empowering innovation and nurturing talent. Through profound brand initiatives such as the Global Simulation Conference, the Asia Simulation Conference, publishing international journal, and setting international standards, we are building a comprehensive, world-class international platform. We are going to promote global engagement of ASIASIM members and experts, together fostering the in-depth applications of simulation technologies in multiple fields covering aerospace, intelligent manufacturing and smart transportation. ”

Mr. Zhang Heng remarked, “This visit reaffirmed ASIASIM’s leadership role in simulation science globally and its potential to drive scientific and digital transformation.”

Mr. Weng expressed hope for future collaboration in areas such as sustainable development of international organizations, simulation talent cultivation, technology innovation, and achievement transformation — fostering a virtuous cycle through stronger cooperation and support where technological resources are developed and international achievements are shared.
