On the morning of February 7, 2024, the New Year Work Meeting of the Asia Simulation Federation was held at the Beijing Representative Office of the Asia Simulation Federation. Zhang Lin, President of the Asia Simulation Federation, Weng Jingnong, Secretary-General, Yang Xiaohui, Vice Secretary-General, and Liu Yanqing, Head of Standardization Construction of the Federation, attended the meeting, and relevant staff of the Secretariat attended the meeting.

The Meeting Focused on Discussions on Some of the Key Tasks of ASIASIM in 2025

1. Standardization construction focuses on international integration

Formulate international standards for simulation technology that are in line with global development trends, that is, integrate international advanced standard concepts and technical specifications with the characteristics and advantages of the Asia region. Currently, ASIASIM has established contacts with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), planning to deepen cooperation in the future.

2. High-quality international exchanges forge academic brands

ASIASIM is preparing for the Global Simulation Conference (International Simulation Technology Summit Forum). The forum will integrate high-quality academic resources, scientific research institutions and corporate forces worldwide, and bring together cutting-edge achievements and innovative concepts in global simulation technology. Moreover, it will build a bridge of communication and cooperation for simulation technology experts, scholars and enterprises in Asia and the world, promote the sharing of advanced technology and practical results, and lead the innovative development of simulation technology.

3. Digital simulation international tour for hundreds of cities and thousands of enterprises

In 2025, ASIASIM will join hands with the Simulation Technology Committee of China Industrial Cooperation Association to launch the Hundred Cities and Thousands of Enterprises International Tour of Digital Simulation. It brings together experts and scholars in simulation technology, domestic and foreign universities or corporate representatives to conduct bilateral or multilateral exchanges such as school-enterprise visits, academic seminars, and simulation science popularization on a global scale, focusing on international simulation and digital twin advanced technologies, and assisting enterprises in digital transformation and upgrading. Meanwhile, with the help of simulation technology, it will improve production efficiency, reduce R&D costs, enhance international competitiveness, promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and strengthen international technological and industrial cooperation.

4. Construction of international joint laboratories

During the meeting, the relevant issues of the Belt and Road International Joint Laboratory were also discussed. With the in-depth promotion of the Belt and Road initiative, the Laboratory, as an important carrier of international scientific and technological cooperation, will leverage the advantages of ASIASIM members. It will integrate the scientific research strength of countries along the route to jointly carry out cutting-edge research and application of simulation technology in infrastructure construction, energy development, intelligent manufacturing, transportation, medical care, ecological protection and other fields, and promote collaborative innovation and common development in simulation technology.

5. Organization and management construction of ASIASIM

The meeting emphasized the importance of establishing the internal management mechanism of ASIASIM. By improving the management mechanism, the operational efficiency can be improved, the progress of various tasks can be ensured, and better service can be provided to the international development strategy and cutting-edge technology research and promotion.

In the new year, with the joint efforts of all members, ASIASIM will continue to deepen international cooperation to promote breakthroughs in simulation technology and contribute to the advancement of global simulation technology and industry development.
