On July 24, the closing ceremony of the 2026 Digital-Intelligent Simulation International Collaborative Innovation and Industry Empowerment Initiative — the 2nd ASIASIM International Summer School — was successfully held at Beihang University Hangzhou Innovation Institute. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Lin Zhang, Preseident of the Asian Simulation Federation; Jingnong Weng, Secretary-General; Weixi Gong, Chief Strategist of ASIASIM, and former Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO); Xiaohui Yang, Deputy Secretary-General; Zhigeng Pan, Director of the Metaverse and Embodied Intelligence Laboratory at Beihang University Hangzhou Innovation Institute; Muhammad Umar Farooq Qaisar, Associate Professor at Beihang University Hangzhou Innovation Institute; Wenyun Feng, Vice President of Human Resources at LingoAce Technology; Zhixiang Wang, Head of University-Enterprise Cooperation at the Education Division of Keenon Technology; and Zhengye Wang, Education Business Director of the Cultural Tourism Division at Rokid Technology.
More than 60 young participants from over 10 countries and regions gathered for the event. They represented 17 renowned universities in China and abroad, including Beihang University, Universitat Politècnica de València, Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Valencia, National University of Singapore, University of Auckland, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Mahidol University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dankook University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Moscow Aviation Institute, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Suzhou University of Science and Technology, and Zhejiang University of Media and Communications. Together, they witnessed the successful conclusion of the international summer school. The closing ceremony was hosted by Han Lu, Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Simulation Technology Innovation Center of Beihang University.

The closing ceremony featured special presentations from three innovative companies: Keenon Technology, part of Hangzhou’s “Six Little Dragons”; Rokid Technology, recognized among Hangzhou’s “New Eight Champions”; and LingoAce Technology, a future unicorn enterprise. Through different perspectives, the three companies showcased the diverse development directions and future potential of simulation technology.

PART 02
Youth Innovation Showcase: Unleashing the Creativity of Global Simulation Talents
In the Youth Achievement Showcase, six student teams presented their research outcomes in areas including agent-based simulation, digital twins, and multi-domain system modeling. Their projects covered a wide range of applications, including transportation system optimization, intelligent robot control, computer architecture, engineering material simulation, healthcare applications, and climate environment modeling. Expert judges provided feedback from multiple perspectives, including knowledge mastery, technical approaches, research depth, and presentation skills. Their guidance helped participants further refine their research plans and expand their academic perspectives.

Honors Celebrate Growth, Inspiring Young Talent to Explore the Future of Simulation
Based on on-site evaluations, the Best Presentation Award was presented during the ceremony. Additional awards, including Outstanding Student Award, Team Leadership Award, Outstanding Student Achievement Award, and Excellent Learning Notes Award, were also presented to recognize and encourage participants who demonstrated outstanding performance in course learning, teamwork, and research presentation.

Two Weeks of Inspiration and Growth, Moving Forward Together Toward Simulation Innovation
At the conclusion of the closing ceremony, a review video of the summer school guided participants through memorable moments from the past two weeks. From in-depth exchanges with experts in the classroom and collaborative discussions among teams, to campus cultural activities and the formation of friendships among young people from different countries, each scene captured a meaningful academic journey filled with exploration and achievement. After the video, the atmosphere remained warm and inspiring. Although the two-week learning experience had come to an end, the academic connections and shared vision for collaboration formed among young participants through simulation technology will continue to grow.
Looking ahead, ASIASIM will continue to leverage its international technology platform to bring together leading universities, research institutions, and industry innovators worldwide. It will further advance the cultivation of young simulation talents, frontier academic exchanges, and industry–academia–research collaboration in the field of simulation. The 2026 International Summer School was not only an academic journey dedicated to professional exploration and knowledge discovery, but also a significant starting point for young talents from around the world to unite, collaborate, and embrace the future of intelligent simulation together.
