As the Global Simulation Conference 2026 approaches, the lineup of keynote speakers continues to be unveiled. Today, we introduce a distinguished guest, Mr. JIANG Sunan, former Minister-Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom. With extensive experience in international science and technology cooperation and exchange, Mr. JIANG will examine the latest global landscape of competition and collaboration in science and technology innovation, highlighting its key trends and characteristics. He will also offer practical recommendations for businesses seeking to strengthen international cooperation in science and technology innovation and for Chinese technology companies expanding into overseas markets.

Mr. JIANG Sunan is the former Minister-Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, serving from 2015 to 2023. He has held positions in enterprises, universities, local governments, and China’s Ministry of Science and Technology. His overseas postings include Second Secretary at the Chinese Embassy in Sweden and Consul at the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago.

Throughout his career, Mr. JIANG has worked extensively in teaching, scientific research, international science and technology cooperation, international talent exchange, and science and human resource management. He has led and coordinated numerous research projects and strategic studies, producing a substantial body of policy research, strategic analyses, and thematic reports. He has also facilitated numerous international science and technology collaboration projects and talent exchange initiatives between China and other countries.

Mr. JIANG has delivered more than 100 speeches and keynote presentations at prominent institutions and events in China and the United Kingdom. These include UK parliamentary all-party groups, government departments responsible for science and technology, UK Research and Innovation and its affiliated councils, the universities of Cambridge and Oxford, Imperial College London, the London School of Economics, the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and the National Physical Laboratory. His speaking engagements have also included London Tech Week’s AI Summit, the Westminster Higher Education Forum, the UK FinTech Forum, KPMG China Day’s FinTech Forum, the 2021 UK Parliament Open Day, the Pujiang Innovation Forum, and the Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology. In China, he has spoken at provincial Party schools and leading universities and research institutions, including Peking University, Harbin Institute of Technology, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beihang University, Southeast University, Southern University of Science and Technology, and Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology.
