AsiaSim 2025


On November 17-19, 2025, the 24th Asia Simulation Conference (AsiaSim 2025) was successfully held at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. As one of the flagship international annual conferences organized by the Asia Simulation Federation, AsiaSim was jointly initiated in 1998 by China Simulation Federation (CSF), Japanese Society for Simulation Technology (JSST) and Korea Society for Simulation (KSS), with the three countries taking turns to host the event on a yearly rotation basis. Subsequently, Society for Simulation and Gaming of Singapore(SSAGsg) and Malaysian Simulation Society (MSS) have joined, leading to continuous expansion in both the scale and influence of the conference.

The 2025 Asia Simulation Conference was primarily organized by the Society for Simulation and Gaming of Singapore, with Shunfa Chen, Vice Chairman of the Asia Simulation Federation and President of Society for Simulation and Gaming of Singapore, and Wentong Cai, Council Member of the Asia Simulation Federation, serving as Executive Chairs of the conference.

The conference attracted over a hundred speakers and participants from the academia and industry of the simulation technology sector, representing countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Germany, and Thailand, who gathered at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for knowledge exchange. During the event, visits were organized to Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). The conference served as a high-quality platform for researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and other fields related to modeling and simulation in Asia to share and exchange cutting-edge developments and advancements in simulation technology.

During the conference, multiple exchange activities were held, including the Third Council Meeting of the 1st Session of the Asia Simulation Federation (2025), the 2025 General Assembly of the Asia Simulation Federation, and the AsiaSim Night. These events further deepened member services and enhanced the institutional development of the federation.

The Third Council Meeting of the 1st Session of ASIASIM (2025) was held on the afternoon of November 18 at the one-north campus of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Chaired by the President of ASIASIM, Lin Zhang, the meeting was attended by council members including Vice Chairmen Satoru Tanaka, Shunfa Chen, and Muhammad Zahirudin; Secretary-General Jingnong Weng; Deputy Secretaries-General Xiaohui Yang and Xiao Song; and members Liang Li, Bingyun Zhang, Yunpei Jin, Wentong Cai, and Norhaliza. The meeting was chaired by Lin Zhang, President of the Asia Simulation Federation, and focused on a series of key topics related to the federation’s development. Secretary-General Jingnong Weng presented the 2025 Work Report, with discussions covering the federation's recent developments and key topics including the organization and execution of AsiaSim 2025; paper evaluation criteria, procedures, and implementation; the ASIASIM Fellow nomination and selection mechanism; the compliance management system building; preparations for the 2026 conference in Korea; updates to the Member Service Handbook, optimization of membership services, clarification of member rights protection measures, and standardization of new member application and approval procedures; the establishment of specialized committees on Social Simulation and Scientific Computing & Simulation; and the standards management procedures.

During the session, the Council reviewed 33 new member applications and discussed proposed amendments to the federation's bylaws submitted by council members.

On November 18, 2025, the Asia Simulation Federation (ASIASIM) held a council session at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Professor Wang Zili, President of the China Simulation Federation and Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was elected as a Fellow of ASIASIM.

The title of “Fellow” is the highest level of membership conferred by the federation, recognizing individuals who have made outstanding and lasting contributions in the fields of simulation science, technology, education, and industrial applications. Being named an ASIASIM Fellow also represents a consensus recognition from the Asian simulation community, marking the enhancement of China’s international academic influence in this field and highlighting the nation’s transformation in simulation technology from a participant in international standards to a global shaper and leader.

ASIASIM General Assembly


The ASIASIM 2025 General Assembly was successfully held on the afternoon of November 19 at the Singapore office of Beyondsoft Corporation. The meeting was attended both online and in person by the president of Asiasim, Lin Zhang; Vice Chairmen Satoru Tanaka, Shunfa Chen, and Zahirudin Muhammad; Secretary-General Jingnong Weng; Deputy Secretaries-General Xiaohui Yang and Xiao Song; Beyondsoft Senior Vice President Xin Wang; and representatives from member organizations including the China Simulation Federation, Japanese Society for Simulation Technology, Korea Society for Simulation, Society for Simulation and Gaming of Singapore, Malaysian Simulation Society, Beijing Simulation Center, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Information Science & Technology University, PERA Global, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong. President of ASIASIM, Lin Zhang delivered the opening address, while Secretary-General Jingnong Weng presided over the assembly, where participants reviewed the 2025 Work Report of ASIASIM and discussed key matters including the establishment of specialized committees.

The General Assembly

Two significant ceremonies were held during the event: the establishment of the Asia Simulation Federation Singapore Liaison Office (Member Hub) and the inauguration of the Asiasim Social Simulation Committee.

The Asia Simulation Federation Singapore Liaison Office (Member Hub) has been established at the Singapore office of Beyondsoft Corporation, a member of the federation and a Shenzhen Stock Exchange-listed company. Founded in 1995, Beyondsoft is a global provider of consulting, industry solutions, and digital intelligence technology services. Its business portfolio spans diverse fields such as consulting, industry solutions, digital technology services, and business operation support, covering the entire lifecycle from consultation to implementation and maintenance. Leveraging extensive experience in sectors including finance, high-tech, internet, energy, manufacturing, and agriculture, the company has served numerous Fortune Global 500 and China 500 enterprises since its inception. The establishment of the Liaison Office (Member Hub) aims to innovate international member services by leveraging Singapore’s strategic location and Beyondsoft’s advanced office facilities. It will serve as a platform for resource exchange and business development among ASIASIM’s international members, strengthening the federation’s outreach and global engagement while enhancing its international influence and development.

Following this, Tan Li, Co-founder and President of QuiKTech Co., Ltd. and Preparatory Head of the Scientific Computing and Simulation Committee, and Zhou He, Deputy Director of the Department of Management Science and Engineering at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Preparatory Head of the Social Simulation Committee, presented reports to the General Assembly on the preparatory background and plans for their respective specialized committees.

The Social Simulation Committee aims to establish a robust bridge connecting physical, cyber, and social simulations, providing integrated solutions for addressing complex systemic challenges such as urbanization, social governance, and emergency management. Building on the foundation laid by the Asian Social Simulation Association in academic activities, platform development (e.g., agentblock.net), and talent cultivation, the committee will drive breakthroughs in methodological integration, policy design, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the Asian simulation community. This initiative is expected to strengthen the region’s overall capability in simulating coupled socio-technical systems, enabling a more holistic approach to tackling regional development challenges.

The Scientific Computing and Simulation Committee (in preparation) aims to strengthen collaboration among industry, academia, and research sectors by enhancing the role of emerging technologies including computational simulation, artificial intelligence, and robotics in supporting fundamental scientific fields such as physics research, chemical experimentation, materials discovery, and biosynthesis. Through open datasets, scientific computing resources, multi-domain scientific simulation competitions, model laboratories for industry-education integration, special journal issues, and white papers in the field of scientific computing and simulation, the committee will advance the deep integration of simulation technologies into basic scientific research.

The Social Simulation Committee of the Asia Simulation Federation was officially established.

Following the meeting, the Alliance leadership collectively discussed journal management and development matters with Joy Quek, the head of the International Journal of Modeling, Simulation and Scientific Computing (IJMSSC).
