About

To advance the innovation-driven development strategy, pursue the goal of achieving greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology, and harness the unique interdisciplinary strengths of “Simulation and Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, the Asian Simulation Federation is organizing the “2026 International Collaborative Innovation Initiative on Intelligent Simulation and Industrial Empowerment — 2026 Youth Exchange Forum”. The forum will bring together young researchers in the fields of simulation, complex systems, and digital twins to explore the theme of Simulation, AI, and Future Innovation. The forum will take place in July 2026 at the International Innovation Institute of Beihang University in Hangzhou. Experts, scholars, engineering professionals, graduate students, and summer school students in simulation, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, digital twins, and related interdisciplinary fields are cordially invited to join the discussions and exchange ideas. Together, participants will explore emerging opportunities and pathways for collaborative innovation in the era of digital-intelligent integration.

July 14–15: Early-career PhD Researchers’ Presentations and Group Discussions: Early-career PhD researchers will deliver thematic presentations, followed by in-depth discussions and exchanges among participants organized into groups based on their research areas. Group Presentations and Discussion Feedback: Participants will present the outcomes of their group discussions and provide comments and feedback. Presentation topics may include insights from daily modelling practices, explorations of interesting simulation experiments, interdisciplinary application scenarios, and the evolution of simulation theories.

The forum encourages young scholars to engage in idea exchange and intellectual discussions from the perspectives of daily observations, research practices, application scenarios, and future trends. Suggested group discussion topics include the following four areas:

1. Simulation Stories Around Us: From Everyday Problems to Scientific Modelling

2. Interesting Simulation Research Experiments: From Concept Design to Result Analysis

3. AI and Simulation Integration: Tools, Methods, and Application Scenarios

4. Simulation Theory and Application Sharing: Methodological Evolution and Future Directions
