Meeting Report

On the morning of July 7, the 2026 Shandong International Trade and Investment Advisor Roundtable was held in Jinan. Nuan Wen, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, attended the meeting and delivered remarks. Weixi Gong, Chief Strategist of the Asian Simulation Federation (ASIASIM), along with representatives from 18 advisory organizations across 12 countries and regions, participated in the event. During the meeting, Gong Weixi shared recommendations on how simulation technology can empower industrial upgrading, accelerate digital transformation, and promote high-level international cooperation in Shandong Province. Other advisors and representatives from multinational companies also provided suggestions on expanding Shandong’s high-level opening-up. The participating advisors placed significant attention on Shandong’s 15th Five-Year Plan, engaging in discussions on topics including institutional openness, AI-enabled development, and digital transformation of industrial chains in the context of global industrial restructuring.

Following the meeting, the “Qilu City Tour” initiative was officially launched. Advisory representatives will visit Yantai, Weihai, and other locations to engage with enterprises and industrial parks, facilitating the application of strategic insights and advancing the implementation of cooperation projects.
