In July 2026, Professor Zaharuddin Mohamed, former President of the Malaysian Simulation Society and Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM); Professor Yun Bae Kim, former President of the Korean Society for Simulation and Professor at Sungkyunkwan University; Professor ByeongYun Chang, President of the Korea Society for Simulation and Professor at Ajou University; and Professor Atthaphon Ariyarit, Convener of the Thai Simulation Society and Professor at Suranaree University of Technology, visited the Asian Simulation Federation (ASIASIM). During the visit, they engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with ASIASIM’s leadership and expert team.

The participants exchanged views on various topics, including the development and operational mechanisms of the ASIASIM Council, international membership expansion, cooperation network development, international conference organization, and young talent cultivation. They also held in-depth discussions on the preparations for the Global Simulation Conference 2026 (GloSim 2026) and the Asia Simulation Conference 2026 (AsiaSim 2026). All parties agreed that, with the rapid development of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, and intelligent systems, simulation technology is becoming an increasingly important foundation for advancing scientific research, engineering innovation, and industrial development. In the future, simulation organizations across Asia will further strengthen collaboration to jointly promote international exchange and development in the field of simulation.

ASIASIM’s Rapid Growth Over the Past Year Recognized by International Partners

During the visit, international simulation experts gained an in-depth understanding of ASIASIM’s development and organizational progress over the past year, and toured the federation’s newly established laboratories and innovation platforms. Over the past year, ASIASIM has continued to strengthen its international cooperation network by actively organizing international conferences, academic exchanges, young talent development programs, and industry collaborations. These efforts have gradually established ASIASIM as an important platform connecting simulation communities across Asia and the world. The visiting experts expressed their appreciation for ASIASIM’s rapid development and spoke highly of the achievements made in organizational development, international cooperation, and the establishment of innovation platforms. They recognized that ASIASIM is gradually building an international innovation platform integrating academic exchange, scientific and technological services, talent cultivation, and industrial empowerment, providing new support for future joint research, the application of simulation technologies, and global collaboration in the simulation field.

International Experts Join Summer School to Foster the Development of Young Simulation Talents

During the 2nd ASIASIM International Summer School, international experts engaged with more than 60 young participants from over 10 countries and regions.

The experts shared insights into cutting-edge topics, including AI-driven intelligent control, digital twins and supply chain simulation, and multi-agent systems and complex social system simulation. These sessions provided young participants with an international perspective on the exploration of simulation technologies while further contributing to the development of ASIASIM’s international talent cultivation system.

The visit by the leaders of the Korean and Malaysian Simulation Societies and the Convener of the Thai Simulation Society not only strengthened communication and connections among international simulation organizations but also injected new momentum into ASIASIM’s future development, membership system expansion, and global cooperation network building.

Looking ahead, the Asian Simulation Federation (ASIASIM) will continue working with global partners to promote simulation technology exchange and collaborative innovation, building an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial international simulation ecosystem.
