On May 24 in London, Dr. Weixi Gong, Chief Strategist of the Asia Simulation Federation (ASIASIM) and former Division Director at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), led a delegation to visit the UK Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, where they received a warm reception from Wensheng Xue, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the UK Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, Honorary President of the British Fuqing Association, and controlling shareholder of Furen Investment Group. At the discussion meeting, both sides held in-depth exchanges on topics including international cooperation in simulation technology, specialized talent cultivation, and the development of dedicated medical simulation initiatives, reaching broad consensus on advancing future cooperation between the two organizations.

Following thorough discussion, both sides expressed positive intent to cooperate in the following directions:

I. Deepening Strategic Alignment, Expanding the Scope of Cooperation

Dr. Gong emphasized that ASIASIM, rooted in Asia with a global outlook, shares broad space for international cooperation with the UK Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs in the field of simulation technology. Both sides will actively explore collaborative models in areas such as industrial simulation, drawing on their respective resource strengths and working together with universities possessing specialized expertise in simulation, including the University of Manchester, University of Cambridge, Bournemouth University, Newcastle University, Bangor University, Swansea University, and the University of Hertfordshire, to jointly build a professional platform with international influence and inject new momentum into the development of related fields.

II. Focusing on Specialized Talent Cultivation, Strengthening Collaborative Efforts

Using the Asia Simulation Federation as a gateway, both sides will help more international specialists in simulation move toward cooperation platforms across Asia and the wider world, with a practice-oriented approach to broadening international cooperation horizons.

III. Developing Medical Simulation, Advancing Professional Growth

Both sides will draw on their respective strengths and accumulated resources in the field of medical simulation to study the feasibility of establishing corresponding professional cooperation mechanisms, bringing together medical simulation specialists from universities including the University of Cambridge, University of Glasgow, University of Dundee, Bangor University, and City St George's, University of London, to gradually advance the standardization and internationalization of the medical simulation field.

Both sides further stated that they will maintain close communication and advance cooperative initiatives as opportunities arise. On behalf of ASIASIM, Dr. Gong formally invited Wensheng Xue to visit ASIASIM headquarters at a suitable time, an invitation Mr. Xue accepted with anticipation.
