On June 23, Professor Lin Zhang Lin Zhang, President of ASIASIM, and Professor Jingnong Weng, Secretary-General of ASIASIM, organized the Annual Work Planning Meeting for the ASIASIM Secretariat’s Beijing Office, systematically reviewing and deploying key tasks for 2026. Xiaohui Yang, Vice Secretary-General of ASIASIM, along with relevant staff members from the Beijing Office, attended the meeting.

01 Meeting Focus and Annual Work Planning Discussion

The meeting focused on key areas including the strategic positioning of the ASIASIM platform, brand development, member services, operational enhancement, and innovation-driven growth. Participants conducted a systematic discussion on the annual work plan of the ASIASIM Secretariat’s Beijing Office, clarifying development objectives, core tasks, and directions for improvement throughout the year. The meeting laid a solid foundation for ASIASIM to further develop its industry ecosystem, support sector development, and expand international cooperation networks.

02 Advancing High-Quality Development and System Building

The meeting centered on ASIASIM’s high-quality development goals of standardization, branding, internationalization, and institutionalization, while coordinating the annual work deployment of the Beijing Office. Regarding organizational development, the meeting emphasized the need to continuously improve ASIASIM’s charter and membership management system. By benchmarking against advanced industry standards, ASIASIM will further enhance its refined member service system, better address the differentiated development needs of enterprises, universities, and research institutions, and establish a standardized, professional, and sustainable service operation model. These efforts aim to strengthen ASIASIM’s service capabilities and ecosystem cohesion.

03 Preparation of Key Annual Brand Activities

The meeting confirmed plans to make high-quality preparations for the 2026 Global Simulation Congress, which will be held from November 13 to 16 in Hangzhou. Guided by the vision of “Simulation for Everything”, the event will focus on AI-driven global simulation innovation and collaborative governance, further promoting academic exchange and industrial cooperation in the global simulation field. It will accelerate the transformation of cutting-edge technologies from laboratories into large-scale applications and advance international simulation science toward greater precision, broader dimensions, and deeper integration. The meeting also discussed preparations for the Asian Simulation Competition, which will follow the principles of “open innovation, collaborative win-win development, and industrial empowerment”. The competition aims to establish a high-level international platform integrating academic exchange, industry collaboration, and achievement commercialization, becoming a leading innovation event in simulation technology. In addition, ASIASIM will organize multiple sessions of the high-level online science outreach lecture series “Simulation Lecture Hall” to enhance public understanding of simulation technology, develop a sustainable science popularization brand, strengthen simulation talent cultivation, and support industry development.

04 Meeting Outcomes and Future Implementation Directions

The meeting emphasized that the ASIASIM Secretariat’s Beijing Office should fully leverage its role as a regional hub and gateway. By utilizing Beijing’s advantages in location, scientific innovation resources, and international organization concentration, the office will actively undertake ASIASIM’s international, professional, and institutional development functions. It will serve as a key bridge connecting high-level domestic industrial resources, cutting-edge technological achievements, and international cooperation opportunities.
